Why ProcureXplained was Founded
ProcureXplained is the brainchild of Jorge Luis H Romeu, an early career procurement professional currently working for the Sarasota County Government. Coming from an educational background of international relations and political economy, as well as having worked with contracts for both a private enterprise and the federal government, procurement was a familiar yet complicated industry to enter. Hitting the ground running, Mr. Romeu amassed a vast amount of information and resources on all things procurement in a short time. However, he wanted to be able to contribute to the advancement of more early career procurement professionals that just himself. This is why in early 2023, Mr. Romeu founded ProcureXplained, an educational organization dedicated to the free distribution of information and resources that could help advance the careers of early procurement professionals like just like him.
